Welcome to the Milford Police Department’s web page. We hope that this page will assist you with the resources you need to take care of policing issues you are facing. There are several links at the bottom of this page to help you find many items associate with policing in the Town of Milford and beyond.

The Milford Police Department is your policing agency. Never hesitate to call is you see something that concerns you, or make you think that something is not quite right. We will be happy to check out the area to make sure everything is okay. While we are a small town there is still a lot of territory to cover and we appreciate extra eyes and ears to direct us to areas of attention.

The Milford Police Department is staffed by five full time officers, two part-time, and six reserve officers. We respond to calls dispatched by the Kosciusko County Communications Center. We also strive to maintain proactive patrols to stave off the need for call for service.

The mission of the Milford Police Department is to serve our community with a strong moral compass, grounded principles, and a dedication to the general welfare of our citizens. We will dedicate ourselves to improve the quality of life in our community for our residents, visitors and future generations through professional and quality service. We are committed to the protection of life and property, prevention of crime, reducing fear, providing a safe and wholesome family atmosphere for all to enjoy. We continue to work to develop a partnership with our community to solve problems and to be responsive to the needs and concerns of our community.

As Chief of Police, I wish to thank all persons in town for choosing Milford for your place to live, work, or visit. There are many wonderful family oriented things to do in our community from little league to the Milford Library, and the Waubee Lake park. Our entire community is the focus of our effort to keep all safe and protected.

Hiring Process is Currently OPEN

Candidates should read the hiring process and selection criteria section then complete an application for employment.  The application must have the Releases Package attached, notarized, and submitted with the application.  Chief candidates should also include a resume and cover letter.
